| Notice of General Auditions on November 1, 2026 |
| Theatre Inconnu will be holding general auditions on Nov 1, 2026, from 10:30am till 5pm If you are interested in booking a 10-minute audition slot, please send us an email to: mail@theatreinconnu.com We will then get back to you with information on your assigned time and the audition location (please note that auditions will NOT be taking place in our regular venue). If you want to audition, but there is only a certain time period when you will be available on November 1, please let us know, so we can do our best to give you a slot to accommodate your availability. If you auditioned for us last January, then we still have your audition video, and information. If you wish to have us refer back to that instead of auditioning again, we can do so; just let us know. If you did not audition last January, but cannot make the audition on November 1, you may submit a link to an audition video. This video MUST show your entire body throughout the audition monologue. Theatre Inconnu is an inclusive theatre company, and we particularly look forward to welcoming those from historically underrepresented communities – those of all genders and expressions. What we are want from you: We ask that you prepare a contemporary monologue of no more than 2 minutes in length to present to us. This needs to be a monologue from a modern published play (no self-penned pieces please). This monologue needs to be memorized. You cannot be holding a script. We ask that you email us a photo and resume with your initial request for an audition. The photo does not need to be a professional quality resume headshot, as long as it gives a clear image of your face. Theatre Inconnu is a non-professional theatre company. We have been producing regular seasons of plays in Victoria since 1987. Our mandate is to produce plays that have been successfully mounted in other centres, but are less “mainstream” in nature. This audition will serve to let us know who in the community is interested in being part of a Theatre Inconnu production, as we cast for future productions (in 2027) and beyond). We have yet to announce our 2027 season (as we are still awaiting word on performance permissions for some of the plays). Please note that we run on the calendar year. : We acknowledge and respect the Lekwungen-speaking Peoples, also known as the Xwsepsum and Songhees Nations, on whose traditional territories Theatre Inconnu prepares and presents its work. The relationship of these Nations to this land continues to this day, and we, at Theatre Iconnu, are grateful for the opportunity to be here, and we continue to commit to learning and acting in the spirit of reconciliation |
